    PDS Medical are responsible for providing a number of community based diagnostic services on behalf of Clinical Commissioning Groups throughout the UK. Our main focus is to deliver value for money and high quality services quickly and efficiently, contributing to the continuous effort to improve access and choice to patients and commissioners, as well as simplifying care pathways wherever possible.

    We pride ourselves on the use of the most innovative technologies and service developments. All our services follow nationally recommended best practice guidelines alongside locally developed protocols where appropriate. Our services are supported by experienced Clinicians and UK based and registered Consultant Specialists.

    We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach and each service we deliver is bespoke to the needs of the patient population and commissioners.

    Lead Cardiac Physiologist

    Cardiology

    ECHO & ECG Monitoring

    PDS Medical has been delivering high quality Community Direct Access Echocardiography and Ambulatory ECG services for more than 10 years. We currently provide over 10,000 cardiology appointments per year  The service has evolved over the years to meet both commissioners and patient’s requirements.  Please see list below of just a few of the benefits to using PDS Medical.

    • In 2014 PDS Medical was awarded BSE Departmental Accreditation, we are proud to announce that we are only one of handful of community services to be awarded this.
    • PDS Medical only employs BSE Accredited Sonographers with at least 5 years NHS experience.
    • All of our clinics are directly bookable through eReferral, this is managed on a daily basis to ensure we are meeting the capacity and demand efficiently.
    • Access to our secure online Echo reporting and image archiving system, Ultralinq, is available to both secondary care colleagues and GPs upon request.
    • Our clinics are held in the community setting either GP practice or Health Centre. These are specifically chosen to improve the patient experience, for example good transport links, parking etc.
    • 100% of patients are given feedback forms at their appointment, feedback is analysed by our quality team on a regular basis.
    • Reports for both ECHO and ECG offer comprehensive clinical advise to the referrer resulting in fewer referrals into secondary care and improved management in Primary Care.

    Non - Obstetric Ultrasound

    PDS Medical has been delivering high quality Community Direct Access Non Obstetric Ultrasound services across the North West for over 3 years.  The service has evolved over the years to meet both commissioners and patient’s requirements.  Please see list below of just a few of the benefits to using PDS Medical.

    • The following scans are available – MSK, Abdominal, Pelvis, Testes,
    • PDS Medical only employs Accredited Sonographers with at least 5 years NHS experience.
    • All our clinics are directly bookable through eReferral, this is managed on a daily basis to ensure we are meeting the capacity and demand efficiently.
    • All reports are sent back to referring GP on the same day as scan performed. We have a clear pathway for urgent reports with a 4 hour turnaround time.
    • Our clinics are held in the community setting either GP practice or Health Centre. These are specifically chosen to improve the patient experience, for example good transport links, parking etc.
    • 100% of patients are given feedback forms at their appointment, feedback is analysed by our quality team on a regular basis.

    Audiology

    PDS Medical has been delivering high quality Community Direct Access Audiology services across the North West for over 3 years.  The service has evolved over the years to meet both commissioners and patient’s requirements.  Please see list below of just a few of the benefits to using PDS Medical.

    • PDS Medical work in partnership with Siemens Hearing and supply the very latest in hearing aid technology.
    • Patients are kept under our care for three years, covering maintenance, repairs and supply of batteries.
    • PDS Medical only employs Accredited Audiologists with at least 5 years NHS experience.
    • All our clinics are directly bookable through eReferral, this is managed on a daily basis to ensure we are meeting the capacity and demand efficiently.
    • All patient management plans are sent back to referring GP on the same day as the final follow up appointment.
    • Our clinics are held in the community setting either GP practice or Health Centre. These are specifically chosen to improve the patient experience, for example good transport links, parking etc.
    • 100% of patients are given feedback forms at their appointment, feedback is analysed by our quality team on a regular basis.
